San Diego Courtroom Reporters Corporation
In November of 2012 there were drastic budget cuts across the State of California resulting in major layoffs of official court reporters in the San Diego Superior Court system. As a result of the layoffs, the courts quit providing court reporters for all civil and probate court matters and eventually all family law court matters. The owners of SDCRC quickly came together to form a company that could ease this transition for attorneys who are now having the need to BYOCR (Bring Your Own Court Reporter). We even had one owner/court reporter begin a trial as an employee of the San Diego Superior Court, and midway through the trial (as a newly laid-off official court reporter) complete the trial as an independent contractor hired by the attorneys.
We take great pride in our company’s success in turning the layoff lemons into lemonade. We are the San Diego Courtroom Reporters Corporation, a court-approved reporting agency featuring highly skilled former official court reporters joining together to continue the tradition of excellence in court reporting services for attorneys in the San Diego and Southern California courtrooms. We have the knowledge, experience, and passion for the courtroom to meet all of your coverage needs. Call us now for more information.
